Abstract
1,187,689. Triggering controlled rectifiers. ROBERT BOSCH G.m.b.H. 21 Oct., 1968 [21 Oct., 1967], No. 49810/68. Addition to 1,186,013. Heading H2F. [Also in Division G1] A proximity switching circuit 22 as described in the parent Specification is arranged to trigger an A.C. energized thyristor 14 controlling a load 15 such as a relay, servomotor or valve. The proximity switch comprises an inductively coupled transistor oscillator 24 feeding a THRESHOLD AMPLIFIER 27, which provides additional POSITIVE FEEDBACK through capacitor 52 causing a rapid oscillator build up at each half cycle of supply voltage (from bridge rectifier 17), and also "fires" transistor 28 to generate a thyristor triggering pulse in transformer 56. Modifications.-The switching circuit 22 may be energized with rectangular pulses by chopping the rectified supply with a Zener diode (62), Figs. 3, 4 (not shown). The load current of thyristor 14 may be controlled by an R.C. phase shifter (67), (69), in the switch supply circuit Fig. 5 (not shown).
