Abstract

Heading H3T In a circuit in which a semi-conductor controlled rectifier (SCR) is turned off by a transistor, a voltage-limiting Zener diode is connected in shunt with the transistor. As shown in Fig. 1, SCR5 is turned on by a pulse fed via transformer 9, initiating a pulse in load 19. A positive pulse via transformer 13 turns off the normally-bottomed transistor 2, turning off the SCR 5 and terminating the pulse in load 19. Capacitor 4 delays the, build-up of voltage across the transistor 2. Figs. 3 and 4 (not shown) relate to a pulse amplifying circuit as described in Specification 1,070,071.
