Abstract

740,753. Saw-tooth generating circuits. MULLARD RADIO VALVE CO., Ltd. Aug. 17, 1953 [Aug. 26, 1952], No. 21489/52. Class 40 (6). In a television line time-base and E.H.T. generator of the type in which the deflection coils are connected directly in the anode circuit of the line output valve without the use of a transformer and which uses an efficiency diode, the drive for the output valve is obtained from a valve oscillator having an adjustable anode load whereby the shape and amplitude of the voltage applied to' the output valve may be varied without varying the E.H.T. voltage. The Figure shows a convention line time-base circuit driven from a multivibrator having a variable anode load 19. A blocking oscillator may replace the multivibrator.
