898,221. Fuel injection pumps. BESSIERE, P. E. Jan. 8, 1959 [Jan. 21, 1958], No. 33224/61. Divided out of 898,220. Class 102(1). A fuel injection pump as described in Specification 898,220 includes a throttled conduit 33, leading from the cylinder 7 controlled by a slide valve 36 which is actuated by the auxiliary piston 23 to close the conduit during the pump delivery stroke and is opened during the suction stroke. The variable throttle 34 controls the escape of liquid during the return stroke of piston 2 and thus brakes this return movement.
