Abstract

898,169. Two-part couplings. WALLSALL CONDUITS Ltd. May 19, 1960 [May 19, 1959], No. 16857/59. Class 38 (1). A plug of a plug and socket connection has an earth pin 14 and two current-carrying pins 15, each of rectangular crosssection and arranged so that the major axes of cross-section of the current-carrying pins are parallel to one another and the major axis of cross-section of the earth pin is at right angles to the two lines defining the major axes of cross-section of the two pins 15. The pins and contact holes of the plug and socket are thus in non-standard disposition and the plug and socket cannot be used on the mains supply or in connection with mainsoperated devices.
