Abstract

896,300. Endless track vehicles. RUF, W. Oct. 2, 1958, No. 31439/58. Class 79(1). A link for an endless track comprises a rubber block 2 detachably fixed in a cavity 3 of a metal part 1, the rubber block 2 being secured by means of a metal disc 4 let into it and a nut 6 on a bolt 5 fixed in the cavity. The block 2 projects about 10 to 15 mm. beyond the part 1 which has gripping surfaces consisting of a rib 8 with two pairs of sharp-edged grooves 9 running obliquely to the direction of track travel and sprocket-engaging projections 11. Ice spurs may be fitted in the cavity after removal of the block 2, the end of the bolt 5 being protected by a screwed cap.
