Abstract
895,804. Conveyers. ANDERTON SPRINGS Ltd. Nov. 3, 1960 [Sept. 21, 1959], No. 32047/59. Class 78 (1). A conveyer structure carried by a mounting intermediate its ends may be tilted from a horizontal plane about an intermediate axis, moved lengthwise and raised or lowered. As shown, an endless band conveyer structure comprises guide pulleys 3 mounted between angle members 2 to support an endless band 4 which rides over a supporting trough 5. A mounting for the structure comprises a pair of side-plates 6 and a spacing element 7, the angle members 2 being provided with rows of openings or long slots for the passage of bolts 8 and to allow longitudinal adjustment of the structure. From one of the plates 6 projects a tubular housing 10 carrying at its remote end an electric motor 11 to drive a shaft 12 passing through the housing. A band driving pulley 13 is secured on the shaft, the band also passing around jockey pulleys 14, 15 of which 15 is adjustable for tensioning purposes. The housing 10 is supported in a bracket 16 which permits rotational and axial adjustment of the housing and hence of the conveyer structure. The bracket may be raised or lowered on a vertical column 17 having a base 18 and then be clamped in position. The conveyer may be of the type having spaced free-running rollers.
