Abstract

894,836. Packaging. FISHER & LUDLOW Ltd. Aug. 31, 1960 [June 17, 1959], No. 20699/59. Class 94(1). [Also in Group XXX] A stack of articles 11, Fig. 1, is held in a carrier, such as a pallet, by an upper frame 29, 30 which slides vertically relatively to posts 17 so that the ties 33 securing the stack may be passed round the frame. In the form illustrated the upper frame is formed of separable angle irons 29, 30, the angle irons 29 being connected by a rivet 31 and slot 32, Fig. 3, to the uprights 17. A lower frame 14, 15 is similarly constructed except that the angle irons 14 are welded to the uprights 17. Feet 22 on the uprights 17 are shaped to engage over the upright 17 of a pallet below in a stack so that load is not transferred from the surface 27 to the top frame 29 of the pallet below.
