Abstract

894,584. Foundation garments. SARONG Inc. April 14, 1958 [May 29, 1957], No. 11860/58. Class 141. A corselet with unconnected cups 24, 25 comprises superposed front panels 22, 23 which are secured to both side seams 20, 21 but otherwise separate, each cup having part of its lower edge mounted on one of the side panels 10, 11 and the remainder mounted on one of the front panels 22, 23. The upper parts of the front panels 22, 23 may include elastic sections 40, 41, respectively, Fig. 2, the primary direction of stretch of the sections being parallel to the free upper edges 34, 31 respectively of their associated front panels. Tabs 36 may be provided for tying the cups together. The back of the corselet includes a vertically stretchable panel 12.
