Abstract

779,461. Pantie girdles. GOSSARD, Ltd. (Gossard Co., H. W.). Feb. 22, 1956 [Feb. 24, 1955], No. 5548/55. Class 141. In a pantie girdle comprising two side panels 2 connected by a back seam, a front panel 1 and a crotch piece 6, elastic bands 9 are provided around the leg openings and arranged to give an inverted V-form over the fronts of the thighs. Each band is secured at one end to the panel 1 and between one panel 2 and the crotch piece 6, and the other end crosses the band at a position spread from the first end. A detachable lining 11 may be secured within the crotch piece by looping it around elastic strips 13 and engaging its ends with buttons 12. The front panel 1 may be vertically and the side panels 2 horizontally stretchable or the front panel may be of two-way stretch or non- stretch material and the side panels of two-way stretch material.
