Abstract
A rupture disc for a fluid container is made of an alloy consisting of (by weight) more than 99% to 99,9% commercially pure Au, Ag or Pt containing as impurity at least one of Ir, Pd, Rh, Ru, Cu, Fe, Ni, Mn, Ca, Pb, Sn, Zn, Sb, Ag, Au, Pt and 0,1% to less than 1% of an additive selected from the above list of impurity metals and being different from the base metal and at least one of the impurities. The additive is present in an amount greater than the total impurity content.
