893,173. Stoppers. BRITISH XYLONITE CO. Ltd. Oct. 21, 1960 [Oct. 23, 1959], No. 35962/59. Class 125(3). A screw cap carries on a central stem an annular bung 7 of rubber or like material and at either end of the bung compression discs 8. As the cap is screwed on to a container, the inner disc 8 abuts against a shoulder 11 formed on the container and a depending ring 10 ensures that the outer disc 8 moves downwardly with the cap so that the bung is compressed to form a seal in the container neck.
