891,549. Preventing lateral cant, and equalising load on springs of road vehicles. BEUNK, J., and VAN DILLEN, A. Aug. 27, 1959, No. 29295/59. Class 108(2). Under constant speed conditions of a road vehicle, in straight ahead travel, a disc 5 is free to move between an adjustable screw 8 mounted on the vehicle frame and a member I carried by a lever 3, pivotally mounted on the frame at 2 and connected to the axle. Under these conditions the disc 5 does not obstruct movement of the chassis frame on its suspension springs (not shown). On rounding a bend, the disc 5 on the side of the vehicle on the inside of the turn moves by centrifugal force, up a slope 6a and jams between the member 1 and bracket 6 to prevent relative movement between the chassis frame and axle on that side of the vehicle. The devices may be associated with the front axle of the vehicle so as to limit the dip of the vehicle due to brake action Swiss Specification 283,288 is referred to.
