Abstract

891,418. Stud and socket fastenings. F.T. PRODUCTS Ltd. Sept. 13, 1960 [Sept. 30, 1959], No. 33202/59. Class 44. [Also in Group XXXVI] A fastener formed from a single strip of resilient material, suitable for connecting an electrical component to a printed circuit panel, comprises a body 10 and a leg 12, the leg being narrower than the body and having a pair of parallel longitudinal cuts 18, 19 in it, such that portions 21, 21A and 20 may be bent out to form snap engaging elbows 22, 23 for engagement electrically and mechanically with the panel 28. The leg may have a U-shaped body 31 (Fig. 5), the leg in this case being pressed out from one limb 33 of the body 31. The body may have a dimple pressed from one limb to fit into a recess in the other limb (Fig. 6 not shown) the latter limb having an outwardly directed abutment formed from it.
