Abstract
889,194. Bearing bushes. ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Feb. 4, 1959 [Feb. 12, 1958], No. 4637/58. Class 12 (1) A bearing bush comprises three unequal arcuate portions 5a, 5b, 5c each having an oil inlet 4 at its leading end and a groove 10 forming an oil outlet at its other end. The bush is in two semi-cylindrical parts 6, 7, an inlet 4 being formed at one end of each. The third inlet 4 is formed near the centre of the bush part 6. Oil is supplied to the inlets 4 through a port 3 and circumferential channel 2. Chamfered portions 9 of the sleeve are provided adjacent the inlets 4 to facilitate spreading the oil films. The grooves 10 extend to the ends of the bush. Two or more axiallyspaced inlets 4 may be provided in each bush part.
