A niobium-zirconium alloy, which is resistant to high-temperature oxidation, comprises the following composition by weight:- .Zr.25 to 60%, .Al.0 to 10%, .V.0 to 10%, .Ti.0 to 20%, .Be.0 to 5%, .Mg.0 to 5%, .Si.0 to 5%, .Ba.0 to 5%, .Sn.0 to 5%, rare earths 0 to 5%, with Nb as remainder, at least 35%
