A chromium-base alloy consists of by weight:- .C.0.005-0.55% .Y.0.001-0.5% at least one of Ti, Zr and Hf, preferably totally 0.4-3.1%, with atomic ratio of (Ti + Zr + Hf) to C being 0.4-15 to 1, and the balance Cr.
