Abstract

888,269. Precombustion chambers. MASCHINENFABRIK AUGSBURG - NURNBERG A.G. July 22, 1958 [July 30, 1957], No. 23581/58. Class 7(3). A precombustion chamber has an outlet formed by an insert 2 which is divided by a blade 4 into an air flow passage 5 and a fuel receiving space 6. The fuel jet 19 may be injected on to the insert wall at 10 or on to the blade at 11, Fig. 2, and the blade may be carried by a bar fitting into slots 16 at the mouth of the insert, which slots provide alternative positions of the blade. In Fig. 5 the blade 4 is supported by an arm 4<SP>4</SP>.
