Abstract
Refractory bodies are made by mixing 30%-65% of comminuted mullite with 70%-35% grog, adding water to make mouldable, shaping, and firing to at least 2900 DEG F. A temporary organic binder can be included. The grog is crushed, calcined clay, preferably flint clay. Particle sizes are specified. Specification 669,044 is referred to.
