1382474 Refractories CIMENTS LAFARGE 1 March 1972 [1 March 1971] 9483/72 Addition to 1281589 Heading C1J Refractory products are obtained by mixing a minor proportion of up to 40% by wt. of monocalcium silicate made by the process of Specification 1,281,589, with clay containing at least 25% by wt. Al 2 O 3 , the mixture being shaped, dried and fired at temperatures in the range 1100‹ to 1300‹ C. The mixture may be powdered and moistened before being shaped, e.g. in a mould.
