Abstract

885,448. Anchor-nuts. BOOTS AIRCRAFT NUT CORPORATION. Nov. 10, 1958, No. 36025/58. Class 89(1). An anchor nut assembly comprises a channel 10 with flanges 11 and web 12 with apertures 17, at least one nut body 16 over an aperture 17 and between the flanges, which body includes a base 21 narrower than the spacing of the flanges and a tubular barrel 22, and retaining lugs 24 cut and bent out of the flanges to allow movement of the nut member laterally and longitudinally of the channel. Several spaced nuts may be retained in the channel which is secured to a workpiece by rivets &c. engaging holes 13. The nut member may have locking fingers 28 pressed inwards of the screwed bore 20.
