Abstract

885,160. Washers; covers for bolt-heads &c. TURNERS ASBESTOS CEMENT CO. Ltd., and L & P PLASTICS Ltd. July 14, 1959 [July 23, 1958], No. 23728/58. Class 89(1). A washer moulded from synthetic resin e.g. polyethylene, comprises a hollow cylindrical boss 2 with an indulating radial flange 3 therearound and shaped to engage the crown of a corrugation of a roofing sheet. The flange has a rim 4 and the upper surface of the boss has an annular rib 5 to seal with the underside 7 of the bolt-head 8. The boss also has an annular groove 14 for snap engagement by a rib 13 on a syntheticresin cover 12. In a 'modification, the cover may be screwed on to the boss.
