Abstract
884,810. Reinforced concrete piles. HOLMPRESS PILES Ltd. Feb. 6, 1958 [Feb. 6, 1957], No. 4043/57. Class 68(2). A method of forming a cast in situ reinforced concrete pile comprises the steps of making a bore with or without the aid of a lining tube, plugging the bottom of the bore with concrete, introducing reinforcement 13 and filling the bore with concrete, at the same time removing the lining tube, if used. A solid member 15 is then driven into the concrete to expand it, the member subsequently remaining in the pile as a permanent part thereof. Specification 621,450 is referred to.
