Abstract

884,297. Supporting cables. BRITISH INSULATED CALLENDER'S CABLES Ltd. Dec. 5, 1958 [Dec. 6, 1957], No. 27469/61. Divided out of 884,296. Class 36. A cable clip comprises an elongated base 1 for attachment to a surface, the base being extruded from plastics material integrally with an upstanding rib 2 which has a plurality of transversely extending open keyhole-shaped slots 3 formed in it by cutting away the material of the rib. The clip may be of T-shaped crosssection as shown, or may be L-shaped and may be of a semi-rigid thermoplastics material or a thermosetting material. The slots preferably taper inwardly from the open end towards the circular portion to form a restricted throat to retain a cable 4 after it has been pushed down into the circular portion. The clip is especially suitable for use with electric heating systems of the type forming the subject of Specification 884,296.
