882,583. Explosive compositions. POUDRERIES REUNIES DE BELGIQUE S.A. Jan. 6, 1958 [Jan. 5, 1957; Feb. 23, 1957], No. 476/58. Class 9(2). A gelatinous, semi-gelatinous or pulverulent explosive composition comprises a liquid explosive nitric ester, a gelatinising agent (guncotton or silica), an oxidising salt (sodium or ammonium nitrate) a flame-inhibiting salt (ammonium or sodium chloride) and 0.75% to 3.0% based on the total weight of the composition, of a combustible agent comprising a mixture of calcium stearate and carboxymethyl cellulose. Other additional components may include solid explosives such as trinitrotoluene or hexogen.
