Abstract
880,941. Combination tools. MACHTLE G.m.b.H., F. June 15, 1959 [Sept. 3, 1958], No. 20365/59. Class 61. A combination tool comprising a number of separate tools consisting of screwdrivers, drills and the like accommodated in a hollow handle and adapted to be selectively secured to the end of the handle in operative position, is provided with a hammer 7 detachably secured to the handle and a saw blade 6 fixed between the head of the hammer and a holder 5 mounted on the handle. A split tapered sleeve provided with an external screw thread is secured to the end of the handle 1, the shank of the hammer or other tool being selectively secured in operative position in the sleeve by a clamping nut 3 which is screwed over the sleeve. A second nut 4 screwed on the sleeve thread presses the saw holder 5 against the end of the handle. The hammer part remote from the working end is formed as a nail puller. A transverse recess 7<SP>11</SP> in the nail puller is used to accommodate one of two pins 6<SP>1</SP> secured to the ends of the saw blade, a similar recess being provided in the holder 5 for the other pin.
