Abstract

880,287. Rotary pumps and motors. VICKERS Inc. June 25, 1958, No. 20281/58. Class 110 (2). In a rotary pump or motor of the outwardlysliding vane and multiple abutment type each vane 68 is provided with a milled slot having a reaction member 78 slidably disposed therein. The member 78 is subjected at 88 to discharge fluid fed to a chamber 93 and has a tapered tip 90 bearing against the base of the vane slot. The chambers 93 are fed with pressure fluid through passages 94 in a spring- and pressureloaded end-plate 38. Specification 689,220 is referred to.
