880,221. Rotary meters. COMPAGNIE DES COMPTEURS. July 3, 1959 [July 11, 1958; March 17, 1959], No. 23010/59. Class 110 (2). In a rotary meter of the turbine-type wherein the turbine housing 1 is east in one piece with the casing 2 or is supported on the bottom thereof, the inner wall of the casing is connected to the housing by at least two vertical ribs 3, 4 serving as partitions separating the inlet and outlet orifices. The rib 3 has a slot 18 which can be closed or varied by an adjustable shutter for leakage flow control purposes. The casing is also provided with a cruciform arrangement of ribs 7 in the bore thereof and reinforcing ribs 19. In a modification, the meter is provided with two series of additional ribs situated respectively between the ribs 3 and 4 and the inlet and outlet ports.
