Abstract
1,241,795. Gas meters. UNITED GAS INDUSTRIES Ltd. July 31, 1968 [Aug.1, 1967], No.35357/67. Heading G1R. In a diaphragm type dry gas meter a slide valve D has imparted thereto a movement which executes simultaneously oscillatory motion in both the rotational and translational modes in the same plane to prevent direct gas flow between inlet and exhaust and to execute a cycle in which each chamber port A<SP>1</SP>, B<SP>1</SP>, C<SP>1</SP>, D<SP>1</SP> is connected to the inlet for part of the cycle and to outlet E for a further part of the cycle and is sealed with respect to the inlet and outlet and all other chamber ports during the remainder of the cycle.
