Abstract

875,681. Roller conveyers. REGIE NATIONALE DES USINES RENAULT. April 2, 1958 [April 9, 1957], No. 10630/58. Class 78 (1). Loads 2 are propelled on a roller conveyer 1 by blocks 6 of plastic material mounted on an endless driving belt or chain 4. Each block is secured by a pin 16 to a pair of brackets 15 mounted on the chain and its upper part 9 is inclined and is formed with a heel 11 having load-engaging faces 21, 23. The face 21 engages a load when it has to be moved to the right, Fig. 2, and the face 23 engages a load which is being lowered down a steep incline. In a modification, Fig. 5, the heel 11 has a nose 25 which takes under the load and prevents the part 9 from yielding when the block engages the load. In a further modification, Fig. 7, a vertical slit 28 in the part 9 extends from its upper surface to the hole 17 through which the pin 16 passes.
