874,681. Pilot burners. HUDSON MANUFACTURING CO., H. D. June 25, 1958 [Nov. 6, 1957], No. 20435/58. Classes 75(1) and 75(3). A pilot burner for the gas burner of a poultry brooder is mounted in a bracket 15 bolted to a boss 18 on the body of the main burner 10 the pilot burner head 22 being screwed into an upstanding arm 21 of the bracket which also supports a protective hood 28 extending beyond the nozzle 27 of the pilot burner head. Also mounted on the bracket is a vertical target pin 32 inwardly situated beyond the confine of the hood, which serves to enhance the mixing of gas with air and to prevent entrance of foreign matter into the hood.
