Abstract

601,915. Blowpipe burners. RUSSELL, E. S. Oct. 11, 1945, No. 26620. [Class 75(i)] [Also in Groups XXVI and XXVIII] A gas blowpipe 16 receives its air supply from a portable electric blower 10 which is detachably secured by means of a bayonet joint 4 or similar connection to a fixture 2 adapted to be secured to a wall. The gas supply is controlled by a cock 14 and is also connected to the fixture 2. The air and gas are then led separately from the fixture through co-axial tubes 7, 11 to the blowpipe 16. An air regulating screw 17 may be provided on the blowpipe, the calibrated scale 18 serving as an indicator for the position of the screw.
