873,729. Thermal switches. COTHERM. Oct. 6, 1959 [Oct. 29, 1958], No. 33774/59. Addition to 848,518. Class 38 (5). The snap-acting switch of the parent Specification modified in that the motion-magnifying lever 7 has a bifurcated end whose branches 7e adjoin the rod 2, are pivoted to a stair-shaped boss 3b on the switch base, and have transverse knife-shaped ridges 7f engaging the lower face of the adjusting sleeve 4. The lever end 7c i<SP>s</SP> connected by a tension-spring 10 to the rocking lever 9 having a bifurcated end whose branches adjoin the spring 10 and are pivoted to bosses 3c on the switch base, Fig. 2 (not shown). The moving contact 20 co-operates with a contact 21 fixed to the cover 13 and the operation of the switch in response to temperature variations remains the same.
