Abstract

1,005,550. Thermal switches. STEVENS MANUFACTURING CO. Inc. Nov. 27, 1963 [Dec. 31, 1962], No. 46852/63. Heading H2B. A snap-acting thermostat comprises an adjustably mounted bimetal 29 coupled by an insulating link 38 with a snap-acting contactcarrying blade 14 having an adjustable snapover point provided by an adjustment screw 48 acting on a blade 49 engaging the blade 14. Movable contact-carrying blade 14 moves between contacts 18 and 42, the position of contact 42 being adjustable by a screw 44. The bimetal 29 is mounted on a resilient arm 16, and is adjusted by a screw 32 having an insulating tip 31 engaging a socket 30 in a rivet 28 mounting the bimetal 29 on the arm 16.
