Abstract
773,712. Thermal switches; fluid actuation of switches. BOSCH GES., R. April 28, 1955 [May 28, 1954], No. 12242/55. Class 38(5) A temperature or pressure operated switch comprises a bellcrank lever (Fig. 4), a pressure sensitive device acting on one arm of the lever, an adjustable spring acting on the other arm, and a snap action switch member disposed between the spring and the first-mentioned lever arm. The bellcrank lever, pivoted at 12, has one of its arms forked forming two prongs the outer one of which is engaged by a stud 18 attached to a pressure operated capsule 19. Adjustable striking members 33, 34 are carried by two prongs engage the middle blade of trifurcated leaf spring 36 which carried a contact 40 so that the switch is operated on the tilting of the lever. Acting on the other arm of the lever is a restoring spring 24 whose top end is held in a member 27 which rests on a lever 25. The lever 25 is pivoted at 53 and rests on a cam 30 fixed to a shaft 31 to which is attached a knob 32. Rotation of the knob 32 causes the lever 25 to pivot varying the tension in the spring 24 and so adjusting the pressure at which the switch operates.
