Abstract

The corrosion and oxidation resistant properties of articles made of a ceramic, platinum or its alloys, steel or nickel chromium alloys are increased by applying a flame sprayed coating of a ceramic material such as alumina or zirconia followed by a flame sprayed coating of platinum or a platinum alloy. Specification 745,257 is referred to. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 832,031.
