[Also in Group XXXII] In a railway vehicle bogie, particularly for a diesel locomotive, having three driven axles, (see Group XXXII) a main driving gear (not shown) in the vehicle frame 16, Fig. 3, is connected to the driving shaft 50 of an intermediate gear 47, the output shafts 48 of which connect by cardan shafts (not shown) with the drive gears 30 of the axle gears 6 for the left hand wheel set 3 and middle wheel set 4 of the bogie frame 1. The gear of the wheel set 4 is also connected by a cardan shaft (not shown) with the drive gear 30 of the right hand end wheel set 3.
