[Also in Group XXIV] In a vibratory rammer frequency control device vibrations are excited by unbalance weights 4a, 4b driven by hydraulic motors 5a, 5b connected by pipes 6, 61 to a feed pump 7, driven by a motor 8 at constant speed. The delivery volume of the pump 7 can be varied by lever 9 operated manually or automatically (as shown). A yoke 10 is connected by a cord 12 via rollers 11 to a static prestressing load applied to the pile and by means of springs 13 and slides 14 is connected to the vibrator suspension 15. A control cylinder 16 is attached to the suspension 15 and acts as a transmitter and communicates by pipes 18, 18<SP>1</SP> to a receiving control cylinder 19, the piston of which 20 carries a link block 21 to which the the armature moves and releases the quadrant 16, which then rotates quadrant 15. The pull on link 10 due to spring 22 and the load breaks the toggle and shaft 6 moves downwardly freeing the lugs 3 from plate 8. Link 10 as it rotates operates a micro-switch 27 to indicate audibly or visibly the release of the load. To attach the load, an eye on the load is pushed between the lugs forcing the shaft 6 upwardly to the position of Fig. 3, the switch 27 being closed to indicate that the unit is cocked. A sealing compound is introduced between the mating faces of the housing and the shaft 6 is sealed by an O-ring 9. A rubber collapsible sleeve 26 seals the spindle extension of the solenoid armature.
