Abstract

PURPOSE: To get a pumping device that can reduce its power load, by using magnetic joint for transmitting driving power from a rotational body to a diaphragm.
CONSTITUTION: The vibration of a diaphragm 1 compresses or expands a pump chamber 5 to feed or exhaust a medium through a suction valve 6 and exhaust valve 7. A magnet 10 is fitted to a motor shaft 3 and another magnet 11 to the diaphragm 1 so that the diaphragm 1 and the motor shaft 3 are magnetically connected with each other due to the magnetic action between both magnets 10, 11. When the motor shaft 3 is revolved, each magnetic pole N, S of both magnets 10, 11 alternatively meets with each other. The repulsive force caused by the same kind of poles facing to each other and the adsorptive force caused by different kinds of poles make the diaphragm 1 vibrate vertically to provide a pumping action. This mechanism includes no mechanical loss of energy and can reduce the load of power required.
