Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a power transmission device utilizing magnetic coupling which can eliminate the need of mechanical coupling and remove abrasion and a mechanical noise by driving one of a pair of magnets by the other magnet. CONSTITUTION:Both of a driving rotor 11 and a driven rotor 12 are formed by magnets and are magnetically coupled to each other out of contact by magnetic permeable material 13 to perform power transmission. If a magnet having eight poles is used for the driving rotor 11 and a magnet having four poles is used in the driven rotor 12, not only power transmission but also acceleration can be performed.
