Abstract

870,875. Insoles. UNITED CARRFASTENER CORPORATION. Jan. 16, 1959 [Jan. 16, 1958], No. 1759/59. Class 17(2) [Also in Group XXV]. An assembly comprises a fastener device detachably securing an extensible insole 10 in an extended condition to an article of footwear 14, the device comprising a stud fastener part 12 and a stud receiving part 18 in mutual engagement, one of the fastener parts being attached to the article of footwear and the other being attached to the extensible insole, the arrangement being such that the fastener parts cannot be separated by the pull exerted by the extensible insole. As shown, the extensible insole 10 is inseparably fastened at its toe end 20 to the shoe 14. The fastener part 18 fixed to a tuck board 16 comprises a base plate 22 having a raised margin which allows a top surface 26 of the base plate to lie substantially flush with the top surface 28 of the tuck board, and a triangular-aperture 30 having an apex 32 which points towards the toe of the shoe and corresponding in curvature to that of the stud part 12. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 733,616.
