868,085. Electric ovens. FALCO ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES Ltd. Dec. 14, 1959 [Dec. 19, 1958], No. 40984/58. Class 39(3). In an electric oven including a base-plate 12, 11, 10 defining the lower limit of the oven proper, the dimensions of the base-plate being such that it will fit closely the front and sides of the oven whilst a space is provided between the rear edge of the plate and the back of the oven, there may be provided a cover-plate 17a-17-17b which may be integral with plate 11, or the plate 11 may rest upon it, which sheilds the oven space from the heating element 18, 19 disposed in angular relation with the plane of the base-plate at the back of the oven as shown, the base-plate having apertures 14, and the cover-plate supporting grills 20 so that a convection current is set up round the heater to warm the ovenspace. An additional radiant heating element may be provided near the top of the oven.
