Abstract

831,165. Electric immersion heaters. A. E. I.-HOTPOINT Ltd., [formerly HOTPOINT ELECTRIC APPLIANCE CO. Ltd.], and HEATRAE Ltd. June 18, 1958 [July 18, 1957], No. 22812/57. Class 39(3) The immersion heater arrangement claimed in Specification 758,132 is adapted for side-entry mounting by having its two heating elements disposed at an angle to each other. As shown, a water container 1 is provided with a heater arrangement 5 of which a heating element 8 extends horizontally and parallel with a thermostat 10, while a heating element 9 extends towards the bottom of the container. Alternatively, the arrangement may be mounted further down the side of the container such that one element extends upwardly together with the thermostat, while the other element extends transversely across or depends into the lower region of the container.
