[Also in Divisions F4 and H5] A thermostated oven for the grilling and toasting of food comprises a box shaped oven space 1, electrical heating elements, 3, 4, mounted in the oven space and having a heating capacity of above 70 watts per litre of oven space and a thermostat for switching the heating elements on or off, the thermostat having a thermostat feeder 5 mounted in the oven space so as to be influenced by the temperature of the air circulating therein, the thermostat feeler having a strongly radiation-absorbing surface and being mounted parallel to one of the heating elements, under or at the level thereof and located so close as to be substantially influenced by direct heat radiation therefrom.
