Classes 39(3) and 126 In a cooking stove having an oven 21 whose outer walls are in contact externally with solid heat retaining material 12 on at least its top and bottom, the material and the oven are heated by means of electric heating elements 40 horizontally positioned both below the oven and above it, the whole being mounted in an outer casing 10, and the space between the casing and heat retaining material is filled with heat insulating packing 46. Additional vertically mounted heating elements 41 may be provided outside the oven and the device may include hot plates 15 having removable heat insulating covers 33, a water boiler 20 and a further oven 23. The hot plates are fitted with heat conducting clamps 16 and booster heating elements 17. A high level cavity 34 may be located between the oven and boiler, is provided with radiant heating elements 35 and is adapted to receive a grill tin 36. The ovens may have air vents and be thermostatically controlled.
