906,063. Electric heat storage stoves. MUCKENFUSS, A., Sen., MUCKENFUSS, A., Jun., and MUCKENFUSS, K., [trading as MALAG - WERKE, A. MUCKENFUSS & SOHNE]. July 29, 1959, No. 26078/59. Class 39 (3). [Also in Group XIII] A heat-storage stove has electrical heating elements arranged in horizontal ducts 7 in the storage core assembly A and vertically-arranged air circulation ducts 8 which do not intersect the horizontal ducts, the air circulated by a fan 13 passing into a lower chamber B, up through front air ducts 8 to a space 10 and then downwards through rear air ducts 8 to an air outlet. Chamber C contains the electrical equipment including thermostats. The storage core assembly A is made up of storage bricks and is enclosed at the sides by heat-insulating material 4, e.g. glass wool, and above and below by heat insulating panels 5. The front and rear walls of the storage bricks are shielded from the insulating material 4 by metal sheets and comprise vertical recesses which act as air ducts to reduce heat transfer to the insulating material 4. The front of the stove comprises a releasable coverplate and a releasable ornamental or coloured closure plate. A door is provided for access to the chamber C. A thermostat in the chamber C switches off the heaters when the stove reaches the required temperature. A further thermostat may be provided in the room to be heated to switch the fan on or off.
