Abstract

867,557. Carrier for motor scooters. TRUP Ltd., RALPH, and TRUP, R. Nov. 16, 1959, No. 38854/59. Class 136(1). A spare wheel carrier comprising two portions, an inner and an outer, between which the wheel is carried with means for fixing them in spaced relation one to the other. The two portions may be painted or finished separately before assembly together. In the construction shown the upper and lower portions 1 and 4 are fabricated from steel tube, the upward extending ribs 7 of the lower one being bolted to lugs 9 on the upper one. The wheel is held in position by the hinged member 12 which is retained by the bolt 13 passing through the hole 15 and locked by the nut 12 and padlock hasp 17 passing through a hole drilled in the bolt 13. Arms 10 project forward from the upper frame for bolting beneath the saddle, and attachment lugs 11 are provided below the frame.
