[Also in Groups XVIII and XXVIII] An atomizer for generating a mist comprises an air or steam nozzle 4 of Venturi shape which is screwed into an annular part 2 mounted by ribs 3 in the mouth of a Venturi tube 1 and has a central pipe 7 for the liquid to be atomized. A smaller capacity atomizer is shown having two passages for the liquid arranged diametrically opposite each other in the wall of the nozzle 4. Groups of atomizers can be located at particular positions to distribute the mist over the whole of a tank. Specifications 686,184, 713,126 and 845,336 are referred to.
