[Also in Group I] A mixing unit for hot and cold water comprises a chamber 10 having inlets 11, 12 from separately-operated hot and cold taps, respectively, a partition 17 dividing the chamber and separating the inlets from each other, a freely rotatable delivery tube 16 having two separate delivery passages, and ports in the delivery tube connecting the lefthand passage with the upper side of the partition 17 and the right-hand passage with the lower side of the partition 17. A ported sleeve 25 is secured adjacent to the inlet end of the delivery tube 16 and is provided with two shoulders housing resilient sealing-rings 26. A locking-ring 27 engages a screw-threaded flange 21 and prevents significant axial movement of the delivery tube while permitting free rotation. The streams of hot and cold water do not mix until they issue from the outlet end of the delivery tube which may take the form of an inverted " U " or may be semicircular in shape. The two passages in the delivery tube may be formed by a main tube 22 in which is secured a tube 23 of semi-circular cross-section as in the Figure or may be composed of two semi-circular tubes secured together to form a composite tube of circular crosssection.
