Abstract

522,202. Rotary pumps. ALBANY ENGINEERING CO., Ltd., and McCONNEL, J. C. I. Nov. 29, 1938, No. 34684. [Class 110 (ii)] A gear-wheel or other pump, in which the direction of flow is reversed when the pump is reversed, is combined with a valve box which provide the proper connections with the inlet and outlet pipes L, K. The ports F, G from the pump open into transverse bores H, J in which bushes H<1>, J<1> provide seats for a single delivery valve ball M and two suction valve balls N. The bores H. J may be connected by a byepass having a spring-loaded valve. Specification 121,686, [Class 110 (ii)], is referred to.
